Dan completed his MSci in Palaeobiology and Palaeoenvironments at Birmingham in 2014, achieving a first class degree. His MSci thesis was completed in our group on the palaeobiogeography of temnospondyl amphibians from the Permian–Triassic, work which Dan is currently preparing for publication. Dan rejoined our group in October 2015 as an ERC-funded PhD student. His project is focused on assessing fossil record completeness across a broad swath of Phanerozoic tetrapods, and is co-supervised by Dr Roger Close, Dr Paul Upchurch, and Dr Phil Mannion.
